Happy New Year, kitchen lovers!
On the first week of 2016, I would like to wish everyone a blessed and prosperous year ahead. Take this opportunity to meet new friends, discover new things, and improve yourself and your life. If you haven’t learned – or mastered it yet – a good start is to learn how to cook.
Why You Should Cook?
Cooking is a necessity. While there are hundreds of fastfood restaurants, instant meals, and canned goods available in every corner of the country, there’s nothing better than eating home-cooked meals. From my years of experience as a chef, here are a few good reasons why I encourage everyone to learn how to cook:
- You can eat whatever you want, and however you want it – sweet, spicy, no MSG, less fat, less oil, or high protein.
- You can be sure the food you prepare is clean and safe to eat.
- You can be sure that it is healthy, tasty, and loved by your kids.
- Cooking at home is a lot cheaper than ordering in or dining out. You can even prepare portions according to the size of your guests and avoid wastage.
- Cooking at home is good for the environment as it takes less energy and resources compared ot bulk cooking in restaurants and fastfood stores.
- It develops personal traits such as resourcefulness, productiveness, and creativity.
- You make your time useful for you and your family. It can also be a great bonding time for you and your kids.
Most importantly, cooking improves you as a person. You become a better wife and a more responsible mother. You become more creative and innovative. You learn proper planning and budgeting.
You see, cooking is not just about preparing meals. It’s about improving your life. And at 25 Mushrooms Kitchen, we will help you improve your lives by teaching you how to cook delicious and nutritious meals.
This year, we promise to make our classes more meaningful, useful, and valuable to our students.
Aside from wedding preparations, soon-to-be brides also need to ready themselves for the married life – to be the best wife to her better half. And part of this is to learn how to cook for her husband. After all, the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, right?
That is why for a unique and fun-filled bridal shower party, we offer a cooking class for the bride-to-be and her friends. Bridal showers are always exciting, and with a cooking-themed activity, it becomes more special and memorable to both the bride and her guests. Not only is it a new way of spending time and getting together with friends, it also encourages all participants to learn how to cook.
Every time we set up a cooking-themed bridal shower party, we can’t help but notice that everyone enjoys the cooking class as participants learn as a group. But more importantly, we are happy, too, to see our beginner students learn the basics of cooking that will definitely benefit them during their married life.
Before the cooking-class-slash-bridal-shower-party starts, we see how nervous the participants are, saying that they have little or no experience in cooking at all. Thus, we make sure that the classes are light, fun, and easy to follow. From basic preparations of ingredients to actual cooking and food serving, students actively participate. Some even show their creativity and artistic side when it comes to food presentation. We see how excited everyone is, especially the soon-to-be brides.
After the classes, most of the participants express their appreciation for the unique theme of the bridal shower. Many say that they are learning a lot while losing their fear of getting married and starting a household.
For a unique bridal shower party, engage in our one-of-a-kind cooking class and capture the heart – and stomach – of your soon-to-be groom.
