25 Mushrooms Kitchen is your modern cooking school that offers cooking classes primarily for beginner cooks. It aims to provide simple but practical cooking instructions to cooks and take the stress out of learning how to prepare nutritious and delicious meals for the entire family.
25 Mushrooms Kitchen was created with the vision of training beginning cooks to be confident in the kitchen and develop the ability to prepare delicious and well-balanced meals for the families they serve. Unlike most culinary schools and hospitality institutes that cater to students and working individuals who want to become professional chefs or bakers as their future occupation, 25 Mushrooms Kitchen mould cooking skills and instills nutritional knowledge in everyone who wants to cook for the home setting, be they home cooks, newlyweds or established homemakers.
From Home Kitchen to 25 Mushrooms Kitchen
A kitchen practitioner herself, Sari Jorge started the business in 2009 when she thought of opening her kitchen to demonstrate proper cooking techniques and kitchen management to house helps. This idea came about when she was getting numerous requests from family, friends, and relatives about teaching their house helps how to cook and prepare sumptuous meals.
Having the same set of house help for the past 10 years and boasting 15 years of catering experience, Sari started training her family and friends’ house helps. She would then receive abundant praises from her “first customers” for the delicious food served and the efficient service provided by their house helps when hosting a party at their respective residences.
Her experience being a Food & Beverage Manager in Catalina Canyon Hotel, Avalon CA, her exposure to her family’s catering business at a young age, her culinary training at the ISCAHM (International School for Culinary Arts and Hotel Management), and her frequent appearance in local and foreign cooking classes finally convinced Sari to turn her simple home kitchen to a training venue which is now known as 25 Mushrooms Kitchen, which is now a full-service recreational cooking school, located in Valle Verde (and soon to open, in McKinley Hills and Alabang).
Sari’s cooking skills and passion for serving and preparing food are the foundations of her successful cooking school, next to her genuine vision that beginning cooks and helpers in each household should be able to confidently express themselves through cooking and preparing healthy food.
